WSCN hold rides to suit everyone and every ability.

All rides are free after $10 annual membership.

All are welcome.

Riders should note that though ride leaders are covered by Professional Indemnity Insurance, riders who are not members of Bicycle NSW are not automatically covered for Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance.

Riders who are not members of Bicycle NSW are encouraged to join, as membership to Bicycle NSW affords you Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance.

Community Rides - non members welcome

There will be no community rides  due to Covid-19 until further notice.

(VE) = very easy, (E) = easy, (M) = medium

5 April 2020      Bland Oak

3 May 2020       Mounties Loop

7 June 2020       Fairfield Loop

Community rides are held on the 1st Sunday of each month.


Our rides start and finish at the WSCN Clubhouse located at Fairfield Showground.

There is plenty of parking and excellent bicycle accessibility using the Orphan School Creek Cycleway.

BRING your Bike - Geared and in working order, a well fitting helmet and spare tube/puncture repair kit.

You will need sunscreen, drinking water and snacks or money.

Each Sunday Community ride ends with a free sausage sizzle back at our club house-

Unaccompanied children must be over 16 years of age. Small children in carry seats or trailers welcome. For safety and legal reasons, children under 16 years of age must ride with their parent or guardian, and remain under the control of that parent or guardian for the duration of the ride. Children who ride must be proficient enough to ride safely at the general pace of the other riders in the group.

For NEW riders, a short easy 10km ride is available, by calling Doug on 0411 615 867 two days prior to the ride.

The ride leader reserves the right to make changes to the route as required for the safety of all participants.

Thursday Rides

Thursday rides start and finish at the clubhouse and are usually 20-40km in length. We tend to stop for coffee on every ride.

Ride destinations and routes may be varied by ride leaders on the day due to the circumstances. New riders may prefer to start with a Sunday Community ride.

Riders meet at 8.45am for a 9.00am start. Bring your own bike, helmet & spare tube/puncture repair kit. Bikes may be hired from the club if arrangements are made prior.

All ride are free. 

At our Feb 2019 committee meeting it was voted that we will implement a new start time

of 8am during the months of NOV through to end of FEB each year.

Saturday Members Rides

Saturday members rides are usually 40 to 60 kms, for riders of reasonable cycling fitness and experience.
Destinations are determined just prior to, or on the day, and a choice between 2 rides, with an 8am start or a 9am start.

Ladies Only Ride - non members welcome

Ladies only rides are held on the 3rd Monday of each month. They are a social ride aimed at all levels of riders..
